Sea World July 2011

Made a Sea World Layout using items from Close to My Heart. The stamps and the chipboard letters are from CTMH. The Sea World paper is from Wootens Scrapbook Store. I love Sea World! I tried to use a lot of pictures from the show since I always take them of Shamu and not of my family that are squished in the stands. However I think it works with a picture of them enjoying the show and then pictures of the show.

We got Disneyland Passes this summer, so I've got enough cool Disney pics to last a lifetime.

Matthew at the new Star Tours 3D. The ride line was 160 min long without a fast past. He's holding the special R2D2 popcorn bucket. I put the new Disney map with it because apparently they are collectors ones.

Pop Up Cards ---- Everyday Pop Up Cards

I got the Everyday Pop Up Cards cartridge the other day and I wanted to try it out. The book isn't very good at explaining how to do the cards so I had to go to youtube and I found a great blogger who really takes her time to help everyone out including with using the gypsy! Surgery

My Surgery went well. Now I'm just recovering at home. Playing farmville and taking my meds :). I think I will complete some projects although they may turn out funny when I'm on these strong pain medications. I'm enjoying looking at all the blogs and at all the great projects :)

Ashley has so many stuffed animals, it's insane. This is a picture I took of her last year buried in them. One thing is for sure she certainly loves all of them.

I used the cricut cartridges Create A Critter and the font is Tear Drop. The flowers are from Accent Essentials. The paper is the baby stack from DCWV.

Pop-dotted the lettering to stand up on the page. Can you find Ashley?

This page is another 2010 page to add to my book. I took Matt and my dad to see Avatar on the IMAX back in Jan. I was only able to snap one picture outside the movie theater with my iPhone. It was an epic movie and the first time my dad had been to a 3D movie in many many years and he'd never seen the IMAX. He was like "wow". ;)

I used SCAL to cut the Avatar title. The font from the movie is a Window's default font called "Papyrus". The rest of the stickers are just something I had in my collection. The brads are from www.eyeletoutlet.com

I got the new Best of Pixar Cartridge and also Disney's Classics! I don't have a page for them yet, but I wanted to try out making a couple Nemo's from the cartridge. These are cut at 4 inches. The sizing is by the height, not the width when you cut from the cartridge. They were quick and easy to make. I think it took more time deciding which colors to use.

I did the same layout as I did for Matt except I changed the toasting glasses to a champagne bottle from Simply Charmed. I didn't see it until after I did the layout for Matt. I didn't add the smiley face like it has in Simply Charmed. The 2010 font is Opposites Attract.

2010 Layouts -- Great Grandparents Christmas Gifts

One of these layouts, the one for Ashley was done at a Close to my Heart Party. I added a few things but the layout was already adorable. I love the stamped Rudolph! The other layout I did similar for Matthew but used different things because I don't own the set of stamps or have the paper. I used my new cartridge Jolly Hollidays that I got at Walmart.com on Black Friday. It was amazing. I just ordered it and it came on Monday Fed Ex. No lines, no fighting crowds. Now you can't even find the cartridge, and if you do you are going to pay over 39.99 for it. I paid $21 with shipping. You can't beat that!

I really do like the cartridge for those of you who want it but wonder if it's worth the money. I think you will always use Christmas stuff. This one has Elves and little kids which are both boy AND girl. It also has things that I hadn't seen on other carts like the elves, some snowman doing different things like sledding and adorable animals wearing christmas hats. It even has where you can make Christmas tags. So if you ever found yourself with time you could use the cart over and over to make tags for presents.

Anyway, here are the layouts.

I found the paper at Wootens in Ontario Mills and the cartridge I used was Everyday Paper dolls. I did two layouts, one for Ashley and one for Matt.

It is pouring the rain outside. It's supposed to continue for several days. My garage is flooded and our christmas lights look sad ;(. It's okay though...because I made myself make a scrapbook page. I'm actually doing about 3 but this is the first one that is dry.

This picture is for Matt's Scrapbook. It was when we were in Big Bear last January at the snow sledding. It's from the same set of pictures from the last page I did of Ashley.

I am so excited! I got a Gypsy! I am still learning how to use it, but I'm super excited! This layout was simple, but took me a really long time because I had to learn how to use my new toy. The layering sizes were throwing me off, but luckily several ladies have posted videos on how to do it - so I watched them and horray. I used basic grey paper and the Winter Frolic cartridge. The snowflakes are from the free Christmas cartridge that was included when you buy a gypsy. I outlined it all in stickle. I have so many layouts to catch up on let me tell you. I feel so overwhelmed. Everytime I bring out my stuff to scrap, Ashley is in it or if I baby gate her away from it she just screams. Not a lot of creative thought can happen with that in the background. In fact, just as I speak she screaming. She's sick, so I'm sure that's mostly why. I'll just do what I can, when I can ;).

This past Saturday I took a Close to My Heart Scrapbook class. I had a blast and learned some pretty neat stamping tips. I don't really stamp on my layouts...so it was pretty cool to try something new. Plus I took home the layouts and combined the best of stamping with my cricut. You can have the best of both worlds ;).

Close To My Heart's workshop came with all of the paper, the stamp set, the pointsettas and all of the brads. It was really a great deal. The titles were cut with the cricut using the cartridge Winter Woodland. The fireplace, presents and stockings were cut with the cricut using the cartridge Christmas Cheer.

All of the cards except my Snowman creation were also included in the class and were all Close to my Heart and designed by Close to my Heart.

Matthew's Layout - Still need to journal.

Ashley's layout - made another set out of the leftover paper - that's why one page is brown/one red.

The garland was from Michaels - the fireplace was cute from Christmas Cheer.

I love the flowers! They had brads already in them. We stamped Wish and put a drop of the Glossy for little droplets.

Fall Festival Signs

These were the signs I made for the fall festival. At least most of them. I think I did about 8-10 signs total. I was also really sick with a bad cold. I was so tired! I went through an entire glue bottle too. Crazy! I think they looked nice at the festival, the wind was just not cooperating though. I think next year I need to mount them on heavy card board.

Monster Treat Boxes

I used the Monster cartridge for these. I made a total of 42 with my mom! A set for her class and Matt's class. I also made cake pops for the first time. I made pumpkins. At first they were going to have faces on them but the food pens wouldn't write on the chocolate. So I gave up. They were more Fall like anyway instead of Halloween.

Mickey's Costume Party and Haunted Mansion

This year we went to the Mickey's Not so scary Halloween Party at Disneyland. It poured the rain down, but it was still a lot of fun. The kids got tons and tons of candy. The fireworks were my favorite part of the night along with the parade. It was super fun to just walk on the rides too. These are my first two layouts I've gotten done.

Ontario Scrapbook Expo 2010 Finds

What a great day today! I have not had very much time for scrapbooking lately. It was nice to take the day and spend it at the Ontario expo. My wallet is hiding in the corner right now crying. It was all fine and dandy until the Scrapbook Corner store put brand new cricut cartridges out for $19.99!!! I even made off with one of the only copies of the brand new Birthday Bash cartridge!! I also got Cindy Loo!! I came with the intention of finding Toy Story paper and they had that too. Score! It was a very busy day at the expo. It was pretty much impossible to get into the dollar scrapbooking booths, and well frankly I probably didn't need any of that stuff anyway. However, the finds that I did get were great. Plus I got to go with my mom and my friend Andrea which I don't get to see that often. Here are pictures of my finds Peggy since I know you are dying to see ;)

Getting Back to Scrapbooking

Well I just looked at my blog and it's been a loooong time since I scrapbooked last! I've been a busy bee with my cricut, but using it for PTA signs and bulletin boards. I also chaired my first fundraiser..which was successful :). I have until our Christmas Shop to start using my cricut for myself again. These are some pictures of what I've done with the cricut for the school. We had a couple of different fundraisers like a Walk-A-Thon and an Art Fair.

This is part one of my two page layout for Ashley's Minnie Mouse pictures. I used both Disney Mickey Cartridges for all the cuts. It takes a long time to layer, but worth it in the end. I used stickle Xmas Red and Stardust. I also used one of the cuttle bug folders for the matting. I wish I could take better pictures of my stuff, but this will have to do. Page 2 is coming along...I just need to get more ribbon from my mom's house. :) Oh and the sizes...... Disney is done at 3 inches. Minnie Mouse title is 2 inches. Minnie Mouse is 5 1/2 inches.

Once Upon A Time

We just got back from vacation and now I have tons of new pictures to scrapbook. Just in Disneyland alone, I'm sure there are probably 25 layouts waiting to happen. Now if I could just get my hands on that new Toy Story Cartridge!!

I used the Once Upon a Time paper DCWV. I just got a new Martha Stewart Punch from Michaels. It's one of the big ones. I still need to master it, but I saw on HSN how you could flip it around and make a complete circle border with it. So I used gold glitter paper and it worked great. As far as the cricut goes, I used Storybook for the Title and Sleeping Beauty was on Happily Ever After. She was interesting to cut. The eyes were my biggest nightmare. I ended up buying a white and blue gel pen to do the eyes because it was impossible to cut out the eyes. I made sleeping beauty 6 inches, so if you do cut her you might want to go almost 7 or larger. On the glitter paper I cut it on multicut and it did great.

I found this really pretty glitter paper at Collective Journey and thought it would be great to do a layout for Disneyland with. The title is cut from the cricut cartridge Once Upon a Princess. The Disney Castle is from a EK success sticker. I found some really cheap glitter paper at Jo Ans in the Scrapbook section. It had 8 sheets for less than $2 with Coupon. The glitter was pastel but it worked great for this layout and cut awesome with the Cricut.

Go Wild! Create-a-Critter

Well you saw the girl version of a zoo layout with Create-a-Critter. Here is a boy version! Using the same stack of paper - Zoo from DCWV and the Create-a-Critter cartridge. Since you can't really "bling" a boy layout, you have to do something...so I textured the palm trees, title and gator by running them thru the cuttle bug with embossing folders. I did sneak in a little stickle on the title and on the grass. :) I cut the coconuts out with a circle punch and then flocked them in brown flock, martha stewart kind.

Hip Hip Hooray! Using Create-A-Critter

This cartridge is so adorable! I'm really excited about it. I used the zoo stack to create this layout. I did stickle and I flocked the monkey that is swinging down. I know this picture of Ashley didn't turn out the greatest, but I think it's important because her Grandpa that passed away is holding her in this picture. She was really happy!

Down by the Sea - SOUS Challenge and Peggy Challenge

I used the sketch from this weeks SOUS challenge to map out how I would make this layout. The paper is by Close to my Heart. The Tag/Title "Down by the Sea" is from 5 or 6 years ago when I attended one of the classes at the scrapbook expo. I've always loved the tag because it used real shells and rocks. I just...never used it :). I'm continuing to work on my 2006 Cruise Scrapbook. I'm a little burned out but still moving forward. I did use the cricut on this layout but only for the frame that went around the journaling and that was from the cart Storybook.

Used two sketches from March Pagemaps. I love that website! The paper packet was at Michaels. The cartridges I used were My World for the Plane, Going Places for the plane journaling pocket and title. First Time Flyer was done in the Plantin Schoolbook font. The postage stamp frame was done with the Accent Essentials cartridge.

What the Flock - How to Flock an Elmo

Tonight I experimented with Martha Stewart Flocking Powder. I think I've inhaled half the jar by accident, but did manage to make some pretty cool looking fuzzy Elmo's. I'll try to explain how to make these because I didn't see much in the way of Cricut Flocking instructions.

For this I used, Elmo's from Sesame Street and Friends cut at 5 inches. Before you flock, don't glue your Elmo together (I learned this the hard way, while it doesn't look bad, you get it on the black and then it doesn't look great). So leave your Black base, your red Elmo body, white eyes and orange nose separate.

You also need Glue. I used the Martha Stewart brush on Glitter Glue, but I'm pretty sure any would do. You also need Red Flock.

Take your Red Elmo Body and brush a thin layer of glue all over it.

(please note in the picture below I had glued the black....don't do that. Just do the red all by itself)

Then your going to dumb the red flock on the body. I used a bowl and a spoon to do this. I spooned the red flock all over the body and then would tap it into the bowl and repeat until elmo was completely covered in red flock. (please note...try not to inhale while doing this...lol)

Then your going to lay Elmo out to dry. Once he is dry you can glue him together just like you would normally do.

Elmo is all excited he's fuzzy!

My Elmos were not completely dry in this picture, but I plan to take a make up brush and just lightly dusting him off to clean up any loose fuzz.

Well my days have filled up with T-Ball practice, chasing Ashley since she's walking and running around the house and life in general. I took a time out to scrapbook this page. This is for the SOUS challenge this week. One of the challenges was to put Bling! So I blinged with a little bit of stickle. I used the cricut solutions cart for Baseball to make the cuts. The paper is from Close To My Heart. I'm really excited Matt is in a sport now, so I have an excuse to go to the Scrapbook store because I don't have anything themed Baseball :).

Disney's Cars gone Girly!

Ashley was wearing her Cars pajamas last night when we had a family movie night watching Cars. Scott was working late and came home to find Ashley in her Cars PJS and me looking at the Cars Cricut cartridge haha. He accused me of putting on the movie and pj's just to scrapbook it. Hmmmm....he knows me well. Anyways - Sally was cut at 3 1/2 inches. It was a little unbearable on the hub caps...but not totally not doable. This was a sketch from the SOUS challenge from a few weeks ago. Trying to catch up!

Mickey Font for the Title, Cars for the Sally Car, Cars Emblem and Lightning.

Sally cut at 3 1/2 inches. The hubcaps needed me to punch out them, but other than that not too bad.

Cars Logo - one note...don't follow the colors on the picture. Cut the base black and the shift white...even though the pictures show that reversed.

Roar! Dinosaur Tracks Cartridge - SOUS Challenge

Finally got back in the scrapping habit! This is a layout I did last night using the new Dino Tracks cartridge I got for Christmas. The dinos, rocks, palm tree, and Font were all on this cartridge. The paper was Basic Grey's Archaic. We took the kids to the SD zoo when they had the animated dinosaurs. I used a layout from the SOUS challenge. I'm not sure which week it was for since I'm 4 weeks behind :)..

In memory of my FIL Bruce

These past few weeks have been shocking and terrible to say the least. My father in law passed away unexpectedly, he was going to turn 60 in March. Bruce, my fil, was an avid cyclist. He competed in several amateur events and rode with several cycling groups. I can remember when I first had Matthew, he was so proud to ride his bike to the Hospital to meet his very first grandchild. A few weeks ago he was in an accident while riding his bicycle on a biking trail near his home. After a week of fighting for his life in a body that just would no longer cooperate, my father in law sub combed to his injuries. His family was able to fly in to say their final goodbyes and be with him when he passed. It was devastating and shocking. Such a healthy person to pass so suddenly. We were very blessed that a few weeks prior to his accident we went with him and my mother in law to the Pirates Dinner adventure with the kids.

I did a memorial board for the memorial that they had about a week ago. I tried to make it so that it could be taken apart and made into a scrapbook. I used removable tape adhesive to tack the pages down to the board. I was very fortunate that a line of paper came out by Karen Foster about "In Loving Memory". It was awesome. The night before I made this board I went to my local scrapbook store, Wootens, over in Ontario Mills, and one of the ladies who works there was stocking the new items. She offered to price them and let me buy them even though they weren't even on the shelves yet. I am so grateful because it made the board turn out wonderfully.

I did a sketch off of Jan Page Maps. I noticed I haven't really scrapped a lot of Ashley when she was born. I need to catch up! I used a sticker from Michaels for the title and the Cricut Cartridge to cut out the circle, the baby and the ducky.

SOUS Challenge Week 3 - So Cute

I tried going outside the box again with the Circle, instead I made a heart. The giant heart was cut at FIT TO PAGE from the Sweethearts cartridge. The Frame was cut with Accent Essentials. The Swirls were done on the cartridge Sweethearts. Mickey and Minnie from the Mickey cartridge. So Cute was cut from the cartridge Paisley. I used the new Martha Stewart Valentines Stack. If you are cutting this glitter paper it is VERY THICK. To cut this paper you need the DEEP CUT BLADE and set your pressure to MAX. You also need to have the DEEP CUT on the 6 setting (which I always have it on anyways). I found if you use your regular blade it wont cut through the paper on MAX pressure, but you could probably do it on multi-cut.

This picture is from last years Valentines. Ashley was so small. She was 4 months old, but she was a preemie so she was 2 months adjusted. She just had figured out how to lift her head. She loves her big brother very very much. Matt is a great Big Brother.

Wyland was at CHA. I was so excited because I saw something that said he'd be there on Sunday. But he is so nice that he was there on Saturday and offered to sign everyones books. He is so down to earth and does so many great things for the environment and children around the world!

3M Gave us their new Sticky Scrapbook paper and a Glue Runner. We also made a card. Their paper has a white core -great for sanding. If you buy it in the packs it has instructions on the settings for use with the Cricut! It's made for the Cricut. Not available in 12x12 yet. They are trying to find out the interest in it.

The Pink Stamper had a cute Cupcake Make-n-Take, EK success had a journal and a company that is new to the scrapbook scene had the elephant journal. They had beautiful overlays but I don't remember their name :(. I will find them again ;)

The company that did the silk screen t-shirts gave us the Pink Silk Screen Paint, EK success gave us a botton and 3 Jolee's charms. Mine were different colored princess crowns, my mom got crosses.

CHA Super Show Saturday

I was able to go to the convention show on Saturday with my mom since we live not to far away from Anaheim. It had to be one of the BEST scrapbook Expo type shows I have ever been to. I had a blast! Not only did I get to meet Artist Wyland, but there was scrapbooking. If anyone knows me they know I've loved Wyland paintings since I was in middle school. So meeting the guy was awesome. I hope he comes out with some environmentally friendly scrapbook paper!

The Provocraft Booth was so much fun. We got bakery hats to wear, they were shooting for some kind of infomercial, they had giveaways. AWESOME, FREE make-n-takes. I got to take pictures of the newest cartridge coming out called Once Upon A Princess. We got to make a cupcake with the new Cricut Cake machine. So much stuff going on, hard to write about it all.

Our visit with the Baby Panda at the San Diego Zoo

On Sunday we went down to San Diego to visit with my husbands grandparents. They are huge Chargers fans and we wanted to take the kids to watch the game. We decided to leave super early since we knew that the game would cause a lot of traffic on the freeway and headed off to the San Diego zoo. The zoo was not crowded at all and everyone was wearing their Charger jerseys. The biggest attraction was the newest baby Panda Bear. It was ADORABLE. I want one btw. A baby panda of my very own. j/k.

My layout was done using the Far East DCWV Stack. I used the Cricut Cartridge Pagoda for all the cuts except the titles which were done on Life's A Beach cartridge. I have to admit, the only reason I bought Pagoda was for the Panda Bears. 2 cuts. I know, but look how adorable! I love this cartridge. I see awesome things in it's future.

It is raining so hard out!!! Scott is playing Call of Duty and I'm working on some layouts. This layout is for one of the challenge sketches on the Cricut Board. I used some of the old die cuts that we got from the Scrapbook Expo. The game cart and the game controller were from a company that did die cuts for a dollar. The other cuts were made with a cricut cartridge called George (for the title) and Accent Essentials (for the {} looking frame thing.

SOUS Challenge Week 2

Two Challenges Combined: Pet Challenge and SOUS Challenge (cricut board)

Trying to do two challenges in one with this one. Cricut Message board has a group of cool gals doing a weekly challenge that my mom wanted to do. So she sent me the link to the Page Maps sketch and blog and off I went. Peggy's and I's challenge this month was to scrap our Pets, but the picture had to be somewhere that wasn't in our home. My Pet picture is of our Golden Luke (Skywalker) graduating from his Petsmart Advanced Training. Luke is a pretty cool dog. He can shake, balance a treat on his nose without eating it and a bunch of other tricks. I think our lab Molly should try to take this class lol. Maybe I'll do a layout of my crazy lab next time.

For this layout I used the DCWV (don't) you love those stacks) Pet Stack. The ribbon was just some at Joanns. The Title and Show Dog Circle tag were cut with the Cricut Cartridge "Paper Pups". TFL

Tinker Bell

I had fun with this one. I borrowed my mom's Cricut Cartridge Tinker Bell. I've heard things about it that it is hard to do. Well my only complaint is Tink's Eyes!!!! What were they thinking? I cut her out at 5 3/4 inch and her eyes were the size of pin points. I finally just had to cut tiny little circles because they were so small the cricut wouldn't even really cut them.

So cut Tink at least 6 inches. If you want to actually make it possible to make her lol.

This is Ashley in her Halloween Costume as Tinker Bell. Her Great Aunt Mary did a wonderful photo shop of her in a forest as Tink, so I thought it would make a great layout!

Halloween Board Book : Hello Kitty

This was my trial run of making a board book with my copy of Design Studio and my new deep cut blade. I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge for all of the shapes :). Stickle and embellishment added. I just love the Debbie Mumm Halloween Stack!!

Halloween Card - Wild Card

These cards were done using the Wild Card cartridge for the cricut. Here's some instructions. I found it a bit tricky.

1. Set your dial to 3 3/4 for the sizing.

2. Cut your cardstock like the following picture. Your going to cut a Shift -Pumpkin first. Then Unload, and flip the pad around. Then your going to cut Pumpkin and then Liner Shift Pumpkin. This will fit everything on one page to save paper. Do the same for the black only your not going to cut the liner.

3. Cut your green.

4. Piece together your cards, embellish etc.

5. To do the inside of the card, if you want to put a message inside. Open up Word. Your going to click. New Page, File - Page Setup. Your going to click on the Margins and set every margin to 0.2". Then click on the Paper Size. Drop down box change to custom. Change sizing to 3.0" for both width and height.

6. Hit "Okay". Then type your message.

7. Cut white card stock in 3x3 squares - load into printer. Print your messages and glue to your cards.

Halloween : He's Got Guts : Cut with the Slice

I finally pulled out my slice and started to use it. While I don't think it holds a candle to the cricut, I do love the simplicity of it. I also like that it seems to cut right the very first time. I'm not used to the whole glass mat/adhesive thing. I got some paper stuck on there. lol.

I used the Boo Punch by EK success and the Drippy Goo by Martha Stewart for the punches, The Halloween Cartridge for the Making Memories Slice, The paper is Debbie Mum. They had a beautiful stack with Glitter at Joanns a little while ago. Can't wait to see what they'll have for Christmas.

Pink Journey : Believe Chipboard Book

This is my mom and I's first attempt at making a chipboard book on the cricut. This book is for a parent at her school who is Stage 4 and it's the fourth reoccurance in four years. The cancer has spread to her spine, her liver and her lymph nodes. Her daughter is only 7 years old. My mom came up with the idea to make this book using the Pink Journey cart we got with the cricut. We were so stressed making sure that everything came out perfect. Lots of pressure since we've never done one before. Plus, it was hard to find paper that was for Breast Cancer awareness! Her entire school's staff dressed in Pink for support of Lee Denim Day for Breast Cancer Support. We aren't quite finished with the book because there were a few teachers that still need pictures. But this is a sneak preview. The tags that are tucked away for each teacher to write a special, uplifting and supportive message for her. There's also a bucket (coming soon)

Ontario Scrapbook Expo Finds

Went to the Ontario Expo on Friday. I've been going to these things for 7 years now, I think my first one I was pregnant with Matt! It was the busiest expo I think I'd ever gone to. I'm happy to say I had some good finds! However, there was a lack of new product out there or rather, there was new product but it sold out within a couple of hours. There didn't seem to be a "HOT" item like there usually is at an expo. I did find some great deals at the Dollar Booths. One was new this time. Scrapbuck. Very cool. Well this is what I found and Most was $1-$1.50. I did have to wait in some long lines though. But it was worth it!

Hello Kitty Centerpieces and Hello Kitty favor boxes

Tonight was spent making the Hello Kitty party favors! My friend Caroline came over and helped me piece them together. She's a first grade teacher and she was like "wow". I don't think people really know what a "Cricut" is until they see it work.

I was able to pick up the pink tin cans at the Target Dollar Spot. Along with the Hello Kitty Pencils that I used for the sticks. I taped the hello kitty paper cut outs onto the pencils, so that they can still be used after the party. And hey if the Kitties don't get destroyed - scrapbook embellishments.

The boxes have a Hello Kitty key chain inside. I found those a couple of months ago in the Target Dollar Spot. I used Tags Bags Boxes cricut cart and used Design Studio to make the cricut cut out the Hello Kitty face. Then I used some Transparency film to act as a barrier. That made it so I could fill the boxes with Strawberry Cheesecake Jelly Bellies and candy mints.

Ashley is running a fever tonight. I hope its just teething again. We are going to the Dr. tomorrow for her check up. Please keep her in your prayers that she isn't cranky and teething on her birthday.

Ashley has been teething so much this week that I only was able to do one page. The other page is started, but will have to wait.

I did this page using a lot of different Cartridges. The title was done on the Design Studio as a welded title. I will post the cut file when I get a chance. It's saved on my mom's computer. The Font is Pooh Font, Sunflower from Stretch your Imagination, Pumpkins from Pooh and Friends, Sign from Walk in My Garden, font for the title is Pooh Font.

The Kid is done on the new Everyday Paper dolls. Pumpkin is from Everyday as well. The fence is on the original Paper Dolls. The wheel barrel, I think was on Walk in my garden. I used stickle, stardust on the pumpkins. The sunflower I tried a Tim Holtz gold stickle. It came out a little fast, so it's still drying.

Page 2 to come probably on Scott's next day off. Ashley has her top tooth almost all the way down, her bottom two are the ones giving her so much trouble. Poor thing, I wish their was more I could do.

Hello Kitty Invite made with Design Studio for Cricut

Using the Design Studio for Cricut I was able to make a Hello Kitty Invite for Ashley's party! I used the cricut cartridges Hello Kitty Greetings ( Kitty, presents) George for the base rectangle, and Stretch your Imagination for the Balloon. The invitation writing was done on word with a paper sizing of (3.8 x 3). The sizing that I created in design studio will fit into a Standard No. 10 envelope (sizing 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 in).

Dino-Mite Layout

Wanted to try out my new Cricut E. I cut all the dinosaurs, volcano, grass and palms from Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge. The Title and the jungle leaf are cut with Life's A Beach. The dinosaur border is done with the EK success border punch. :)

This is from our trip to Dino Mountain at the Wild Animal Park! Matt had tons of fun and he actually told me where to put my dinosaurs on this layout. That is why the pterodactyl is smooshed in by the picture of the pterodactyl. He wants me to change out the picture on the bottom right to a stegosaurus picture to match the dino cut out. Ahhh!

Best Anniversary Gift Ever (besides my iphone)!

It was our 6th anniversary today! Last anniversary I was in the hospital on bedrest. Scott went to Michaels (insert shock here) and got me a Pink Cricut all by himself! I am so happy! I had the little cricut, but now I have the large one! I want to scrapbook so bad now! Glad he's on vacation for a week.

Elephant Odyssey San Diego Zoo

We recently visited the new Elephant Odyssey at the zoo. I think I saw this layout in a magazine and scraplifted. I love this paper. I thought it went really well with the colors of the pictures. I used PSP to put in the journalling to let people know what some of the things were. For example the elephant collar. Otherwise...it kinda looked strange lol. It is a truly awesome place to go and see the elephants. Going to include some of the pictures in my posting.

Star Wars Clone Wars

Matthew loves Star Wars, so I was REALLY excited when they came out with the Star Wars paper. Even more excited that it was CLONE WARS. Matthew's last birthday was a Star Wars Clone Wars party and he even wore his old Halloween Costume. I can't wait to scrap the other pictures!

The base paper is a Silver Foil. Unfortunately in the photos you can see finger prints, however in person you can't see it. The Yoda and Clone Trooper are done in Chipboard made from the same company that came out with the SW Paper. :)

The Clone Trooper is not part of the layout lol.

Dinner with Shamu - Prima Challenge

Found some paper today that I really liked by Best Creation. They even had matching dolphin glitter paper. I only used the blue swirl for this one. Prima flowers of course. The layout is from the Prima monthly challenge. Shamu brad is from the eyelet outlet. Font used was Opposites Attract. I need to add the journaling just not quite sure where to fit it in.

I did find some of those Pioneer Scrapbook Snap Loads in the clearance section of Walmart for $2.00. I could only find two of them. I think they are usually around $5.00.

Wild Thing

I made this layout while Ashley was napping. My mom had a copy of one of the Close To My Heart Idea books, so I just kinda pulled out the paper that I had with me and went with it from there. I have so many pictures of us at the Wild Animal Park and zoo this year lol. Getting a lot of use out of that Zoo Stack Michaels had! I'm posting this so late at night because it took me about 2 hours just to figure out how to make the big picture a circle in Paint Shop. I just got the new PSP and I was lost lol. I have never done circle layouts. I don't own a circle cutter, so I used the Cricut to cut the 9 inch circle and the smaller circles. The picture I had to print at home, where I don't have the larger Cricut, so I had to do it myself. It's very easy to do cirles in PSP once you know where to look. The cricut cartridge used is George, for all the circles and the font. I figured since it was already in there why not just use the font. Also, unfortunately, the only other picture of Ashley at the zoo this trip was with me in it....looking horrible. LOL. oh well. I guess I have to be in those scrapbooks somewhere! The layout I scraplifted from actually turned all the photos sepia, which would have looked nice, except I really wanted Ashley's eyes to stand out. Since she's got those gorgeous blue eyes.

Which was cool because there isn't that much circus paper out there!!!! The kids had a blast at the circus. I just wish my camera took better pictures when things are dark and far away!

August Challenge - Prima Flowers

Okay this month I want to focus on Prima Flowers. I have a lot that I haven't used and we need to use them!

On the Prima Blog Spot they have a sketch called the August Build a Sketch. The challenge is to use that sketch and make a layout based upon that. Now here's the next part. They are having a contest....so part of my challenge is to submit our layouts for this sketch to their contest. One of their stipulations is that the layout has to be Prima based and not showcasing another products embellishments.

So that is my challenge! And for the rest of the month My challenge is to post layouts that use Prima Flowers!

For this layout I used cricut cartridge zooballoo and Pooh font. Pooh Font cut out Daddy's Girl in Shadow. Zooballoo cut out the grass, elephant, and vines. The paper is from Imaginsce and Joann's. Did I mention that I love stickles? ;) I can't believe I actually got a picture of Scott actually smiling :). Truly a real smile, not just one for the camera :).

Even Super Heroes Need Rest

I took the cutest picture of Matthew the other night. He begged me to let him stay up and watch Battleships 360 on Discovery Channel. I said okay, since it was Friday night and he passed out in like minutes.

I created this layout to use some of the Marvel Stuff I have collected, Matt's pajamas (that he has totally outgrown) gave me the Spider Man theme.

The Title is cut with a software called Sure Cuts A Lot which lets the Cricut cut any font you want off the internet. In this case the Spiderman font is called Homoarakhan and you can download it for free here: http://www.dafont.com/spiderman.font

Got my tub of Christmas Scrapping Supplies out to Scrap Peggy's "Christmas in July" challenge. I decided to scrap Ashley's first visit to Santa. Of course she fell asleep, so Santa pretended to be asleep too. It was a really precious moment!

For this layout I used a lot of Cricut Carts. The font was done with Simply Sweet. The new Cart that became available in the past few weeks. Though I didn't win a Cricut Cruise, it is a great font to use with kids. It's made by Doodlebug which is one of my favorite companys. The Hello Kittys of course, were cut out with Hello Kitty Greetings at a size of 3 1/2 inches. The tree and snowman are also on that same cartridge. The Snow House was cut with Christmas Cheer. The house was cut at 4". The Christmas Lights are actually real looking lights made by Jolee's. I don't know when I got these, they were in my stash, but they are so awesome! The snow on the bottom was cut out of Paper Doll Dress up. They have a "cloud" border, which I turned into snow by slicing off the bottom and making it just a straight edge. The corners are rounded using a fiskars Snowflake punch. The paper is from a Christmas DCWV stack.

Pooh-looza

Peggy made these cuts with the cricut for you. Mom and I sat down and cut a ton of baby poohs. Going to make more. Just got really tired! My scanner keeps cropping the images off. I'm so frustrated with it. The pooh's turned out really cute though!

These are pages I did a long time ago. Before the cricut was even around. I need to catch up on some Christmas layouts to be sure!

Citrus Park

This was Matt's Kindergarten trip to Riverside Citrus Park. He had a great time. I thought it was kinda lame....don't tell him that. They told the kids about all the different kinds of citrus and let them try a few different types. Then they took them for a walk around the "grove" which was basically two tree's that they allowed the kids to walk around. There was a museum, but the Park Personel told us the kids wouldn't get much out of it :P. The kids ended up playing duck duck goose out in the field to kill time, since the trip was so short!

The Font used was Cricut Hello Kitty Font. The orange was cut out using My World cricut Cart. I ordered the Citrus Slice brads from theeyeletoutlet. They have such great brads. The ribbon was KI, found that and the paper at Target.

Laurie's Graduation Album Continued

Let's Party was cut out using the Cricut Cartridge Celebration for the banner. The lettering was done with Tear Drop. The curly confetti cut outs were using a sizzix punch. Stickle was added for a glittery effect and because I love an excuse to use stickle! The paper was really cool, but very busy.

Hats off to You! Was a page for people to sign at her Grad Party. I got a gold pen for people to sign around the hat. The hat was cut using Locker Talk, The font was Mickey Font. The tassel was something I found at the 99 cent store. Who would have dreamed. They would have charged me $6 for that in Wootens. Again Stickle was added around the sides of the paper for effect. Took a whole night to dry!

Your Invited page was a party page. We used Mickey Cart to cut out the film strip. Later we are going to add pictures inside. We wanted to include as many pictures in the book as possible and were running out of room and paper! This seemed like a great solution. The black square on the left is actually the inside cut outs of that film strip to later use as a template for cropping the pictures to go inside. I just stuck them in there for safe keeping. Congrats Grad was a title they had already pre done at Michaels. The paper that is silver glitter is from the DCWV glitter stack. Love that paper! Although the cricut doesn't seem to love it as much.

Laurie's Graduation Album

Here are some of the pages we made for Laurie's Graduation album. I used a lot of different cricut carts. I should have taken pictures after we were all done but I was so exhausted! There wasn't a whole lot of stuff out there for College Graduates. The Grad book was a total of 20 pages long and we mapped out the entire thing on paper. It's hard to do a book when you are making it ahead of the event!

The first page I cut out with Graphically Speaking Cricut Cart for the 2009. Graduation was printed using Calligraphy. I had fun using the Prima flowers. I haven't really gotten to use them since I had Matthew to scrapbook all these years and he doesn't want any flowers on his layouts.

The second page focused on her Professional College Grad picture and the Announcement. The colors of her college were Royal Blue. Michaels had that cut out for the title pre done and it matched perfectly! The little diplomas and awards in the squares were Jolee's stickers.

The Tassel is Worth the Hassel page was cut out using Calligraphy cricut cartridge. The banner was found on a cartridge, though I can't recall which one because I used the Cricut Design Studio to enlarge it so big. The Diploma and the Graduation Outfit are Jolee's stickers.

The Congrats page with the hats throwing up was using the Cricut Cart Tear Drop for the grad cap and Congrats. The rest of the stickers were K and Co.

Glad to Be a Grad was cut out with Hello Kitty Font. I used tons of Prima Flowers. The ribbon and flowers were cut on a seperate paper to overlay on top of the pictures. I found the graduation ribbon (well mom did) from Walmart! Now you can't find it!

Pumpkin Preemie

I've been doing Hello Kitty layouts for all the Holidays for Ashley. The cricut cuts out these Halloween Cat Kitty, Witch Kitty, bat and pumpkin. with Hello Kitty Greetings. I used Round with Round Shadow for the font cut with HK Font. The candy's are from the cricut cartridge Celebration. The witches broom, spider webs, fence and the Trick or Treat bag are from the cricut cart Paper Doll Dress up. I had a lot of fun with this one and Hello Kitty's are really easy to piece together especially when you cut them at 5 inches.
